The company was started up in 1976 by Philip Cross, who originally brought and sold agricultural tractors and machinery to local businesses throughout Cornwall. Philip then went into hauling coal up and down the country supplying major power stations.
During the late 1980’s Philip was contracted to deal with major road projects in Devon, Cornwall and Ireland. Such projects included the St. Budeaux, Saltash and Blackwater bypasses. After many years of working on the road projects, Philip decided to go back into buying and selling machinery, this time in the construction business.
After many successful years of buying and selling, Philip began to hire machines out to local and national businesses throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The sales side of the business continued to grow and exporting machines to countries all over the world became a regular occurrence.
The company is now run by Ryan Champion and Lauren Flawn after the death of Philip in November 2014.
The company is starting to go back to it's roots and offer services such as groundworks and agricultural hire and sales, as well as selling and hiring all types of construction equipment.
